The Pagani Huayra is nothing if not two things: incredibly fast and highly exclusive. Those looking for confirmation of both, however, need only look to how fast it has sold out.

In correspondence with Autoblog, Pagani spokesman Luca Venturi confirmed that the company has sold out the entire production run for the Huayra. So if you were still hoping to order one for yourself, we're afraid you're out of luck. But, we have a sneaking suspicion that Pagani will have something new to show off at the Geneva Motor Show this year, and if we were the betting types, our money would be on the open-top Huayra roadster ... although a more hardcore track version is said to be in the works.

Of course just because the Huayra is sold out doesn't mean that its production has come to a close. Pagani will still have to fulfill the remaining orders on its books, and considering how painstaking the process is of building each of these exotic supercars, that will take a while. Even with the expanded production facility that came online in 2012, Pagani still only produces about 40 cars each year. That's less than one per week, with about 40 percent of those coming to America.

Bugatti has worked at about the same pace to produce the Veyron. By contrast, Koenigsegg has only built around 115 of its supercars over the course of nearly nine years of production for an average of about one every month. All three automakers compete in roughly the same market, producing seven-figure supercars whose performance stands in stark contrast to the rate at which they're produced.
